Project: Alberta Gambling Research Institute Corporate Identity

Description: Hot of the presses. A new corporate Identity for the Alberta Gambling Research Institute. The mission statement of AGRI is ‘To significantly improve Albertans’ knowledge of how gambling affects society’. The V shape structure creates a funnel-like shape to represent the gathering of research and information. The wall-like structures that form the front of the symbol convey a sense of permanence, protection and support with the left panel forming a graphic representation of the province of Alberta. As a whole a book structure is created to symbolize education and the distribution of research information. The three dots on the top of the symbol complete a dice structure to form a strong icon of gambling. A very important interpretation of the dots is of the three partner universities working together collaboratively.
